The Plaza de la Victoria is a square in the central district of the city of Malaga, Spain. It is located between the neighborhoods of La Victoria and Cristo de la Epidemia and in it the streets Lagunillas, del Altozano, del Cristo de la Epidemia, Compás de la Victoria and de la Victoria converge.
The square receives its name due to the proximity of the Sanctuary of La Victoria, patron saint of Málaga, but it is also known as the Monkey's Garden, because in the past it housed a cage with apes in the center of the garden; one of them was called "Perico". It has Canarian palms, rose trees, peaceful trees and bitter orange trees, among other species.
